DDrum Kit for Under $350!
I’ve been checking out a few online drum shops lately – just seeing what’s around really, and I came across this awesome looking drum set. I can’t believe how good it looks for a drum set that’s under $350!!! It’s the DDrum DBOP20 4-Piece Drum Shell Kit.
This DDrum DBop 20 includes a 20 x 18 inch kick, a 12 x 8 inch rack tom, a 14 x 13 inch floor tom, and a 14 x 5-1/2 inch snare. The kick and snare drums are constructed of 8 plies of basswood and the toms are made of 6 plies. Each drum shell in the Ddrum DBop 20 4 Piece Drum Shell Kit features black powder-coated 2.5mm hoops and hardware, Remo heads, and a sparkle finish! The kick hoops are wood and color match.

Features
- Sparkle lacquer finish
- Color matched wood kick hoops
- Black powdercoated 2.5 mm hoops and hardware
- Remo heads
- Cymbals and all other hardware not included
From what I’ve seen, the reviews around the internet have been very positive, with one reviewer saying that the DDrum DBOP20 “sounds like a much more expensive maple kit only just a bit louder.”, “excellent value!”, and “I purchased this kit because I love vintage kits but , I was sick of constantly destroying the very things that I loved so much. Thus the DBOP. I can take it gigging without worry of damage because it is not priceless and it has modern hardware that can take a real beating.”.
The DDrum DBOP20 Drum Kit is the perfect beginner’s kit, practice kit and certainly good enough to use for gigs too. For under $350, you can’t go wrong!
*Update – 15/05/11: Unfortunately the DDrum DBOP20 Drum Kit is no longer available on zZounds to purchase (such a shame!!). But, the DBOP20′s little brother, DDrum D3 is currently available on Amazon for just $299! So now you can chuck that $50 towards shipping
The DDrum D3 is an equally stunning kit. It’s a 4-piece Shell Pack that has a White Marine Pearl finish. Check out the image below.*

take my DBOP anywhere ! I've played many kits over the years & the 1st time
I saw the sparkle blue finish these caught my eye ! Having paid only $210 for the kit "used but still new" I assumed they would be a good practice kit , after loading the drums with the Heads of Choice – crash boom bang pow ! I play out with the kit 4-5 times a month & people think they are seeing & hearing a much more
expensive set . $350 new ? wow !
