I used Tama Rockstar for years, but switched about 4 or 5 years ago to Sonor. I've stuck with Aquarian drumheads for years. Nothing beats them. Also stuck with Sabian cymbals and hardware, Vater sticks, and several Latin Percussion side pieces. Sabian has a much richer sound than the other brands of cymbals, especially playing live and playing hard rock. As for why I switched drum brands, Tama got too expensive and too fancy. As far as I know, they stopped making the basic Rockstar drums. Sonor was the closest thing - in terms of the sound and quality. (Better prices too!)
